Background

A family owned and operated business, Lovatts was established in 1978 by husband and wife team, James and Christine, with the birth of flagship title, Colossus. Three decades later with an additional 19 titles in circulation, both James and Christine are still very much active in the running of the company, however son, Patrick now oversees day-to-day operations.

Lovatts magazines provide much more than just a collection of puzzles. Popular editorials by Christine, contributions from readers, news, competitions and prizes have created a strong community of readers who associate the Lovatts brand with quality recreation.

In August 2007 Lovatts launched YouPlay.com, an online puzzles and games site to address the burgeoning interest in internet entertainment.

YouPlay is a fun, entertaining and educational place to play free quality online trivia quizzes, puzzles and games. Members can chat with fellow puzzlers, participate in online contests, read blogs, create their own avatar and much more.
